Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our accounting & royalties development team. You will help design and implement scalable software that powers artists and labels worldwide.

You will work with frontend and backend technologies, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions that improve reliability, performance and data quality across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Frontend development experience with TypeScript, React and GraphQL.
• Experience with various databases and query languages (Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch).
• Familiar with low-latency techniques; microservices and APIs (REST, HTTP, OAuth).
• Comfortable with AWS cloud; log analysis and testing (unit/integration).
• Experience in agile teams; data modeling and schema design; KPI-driven thinking.

• Contribute to all tiers of the architecture to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Sony Music Product Design Engineering & Global Operations (PDEGO) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our accounting & royalties development team in our London office.

What you'll do:

• Work with a cross-functional team to build products that empower artists and record labels across the globe
• Contribute to all tiers of our architecture to produce high quality, robust user experiences
• Work closely with product management to understand client requirements
• Design, communicate and execute a vision in collaboration with your team and other teams across the technology organization
• Participate in re-architecture, refinement and technical design of various systems
• Mentor more junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning

Who you are:

• Seeking 8+ years of software engineering experience in the following areas:
• Experience building frontend applications (we use TypeScript, React, and GraphQL)
• Experience with various database technologies and query languages (we use Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, and more)
• Familiar with low-latency techniques to help improve page load time and reliability
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and related standards such as REST, HTTP, and OAuth
• Comfortable with AWS Cloud technologies
• Experience using log analysis to investigate bugs and performance issues
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Experience working in an agile team The Ideal Candidate
