Job summary

The AI Security Institute is seeking a senior engineer to design and build reliable systems enabling researchers to run experiments and ship results quickly. You will work on LLM-based agent systems, evaluation frameworks, and supporting infrastructure in a highly interdisciplinary team.

You will own major technical projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor peers while maintaining production-grade Python code, scalable infrastructure, and robust testing practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience writing production-level Python code that is scalable, robust, and maintainable.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Ability to lead major technical projects as a senior individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable systems and core platform components for researchers.
• Translate research needs into well-engineered, maintainable software.
• Own significant engineering work from design to maintenance.
• Write high-quality production code in Python with testing and observability.
• Contribute to engineering standards and practices within a growing team.
• Collaborate with Core Technology to share tooling and align infrastructure.
• Support architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Mentor other engineers through collaboration and code reviews.
