Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a senior security engineer to defend its AI systems. You will own security areas, shape architecture, and drive greenfield work to protect model weights, data, and training pipelines. You’ll mentor engineers and expand security ownership across teams.

Lead cross-functional initiatives, implement workload authentication, and harden CI/CD against supply chain threats while collaborating with product, research, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering with deep security expertise.
• Experience leading cross-functional security initiatives.
• Experience implementing machine identity/workload authentication (SPIFFE/SPIRE, mTLS).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security primitives (RBAC, namespaces, network policies).
• Strong programming skills in Python or a systems language (Go, Rust, or C/C++).

Responsibilities

• Own one or two security areas and shape architecture for scale.
• Design and build end-to-end security systems in production.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring to grow security culture.
• Embed security practices into SDLC and developer workflows.
• Harden CI/CD pipelines and defend against supply chain attacks.
