Job summary

Ocho in Belfast is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to own the full development lifecycle—from design through deployment and monitoring—on a CNAPP security platform. You will work in a low-ego, engineering-led culture where decisions are trusted to the people closest to the work.

The role offers hybrid work with three days onsite in Belfast, and you will shape high-scale security systems while collaborating with frontend, DevOps and security teams to deliver real product impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience in a high-performing environment.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Exposure to data-intensive systems (databases, messaging, event-driven architectures).
• Comfortable in a microservices environment with modern CI/CD.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ or TimescaleDB.
• Understanding of cloud security principles.

Role Overview
