Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Senior Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities Service in Birmingham. You will safeguard and promote welfare, manage a complex caseload and provide professional guidance to colleagues to model high-quality practice.

You will work with children, families and partner agencies to assess needs, develop robust plans and deliver effective interventions that improve outcomes.

Competenze

• Recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualifying experience within children's social care.
• Experience with children and young people with disabilities and their families.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
• Experience managing complex Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care cases.
• Ability to provide professional support, guidance and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
• Excellent assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and partner agencies.
