Job summary

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to lead safeguarding and complex case work in Birmingham. You will hold a relevant social work qualification and registration and drive best practice with families and partners.

We expect to mentor newly qualified social workers, cover during absence, and maintain strong multi-agency relationships. The role requires a driving licence and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and complex case management.
• Ability to deliver high-quality assessments and timely service delivery.
• Mentor and support newly qualified social workers and students.

Responsibilities

• Undertake complex safeguarding caseloads with a child-centred approach.
• Manage casework and deliver assessments to safeguarding standards.
• Provide mentoring and supervision to junior social workers and staff.
