Job summary

Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a Senior Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities Service. You will safeguard and promote welfare, mentor staff, and lead complex cases while developing service practice in a forward-thinking team.

You will work with families, health, education, police and partner agencies to ensure tailored support and positive outcomes for children with disabilities and their carers.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualifying experience in children's social care.
• Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and promote welfare of children and young people with disabilities.
• Manage a complex caseload and provide professional guidance to colleagues.
• Develop robust plans, manage risk and deliver effective interventions.
• Collaborate with health, education, police and other partners to secure the right support.
