About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the complex team that is committed to delivering high quality social care to those in need. You will have the chance to work with a diverse group of individuals and collaborate with other professionals in a supportive and empowering environment. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has good skills, knowledge, leadership skills and excellent passion for social work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide positive leadership, support and advice to social work staff
  • Assist the Team Manager in ensuring the delivery of effective services for adults through the promotion of high standards of practice in assessment and care planning, and duties at the direction of the Team Manager in their absence.
  • Ensure social work practice complies with all relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and local authority policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high-quality service delivery by reviewing and updating working practices in line with strategic goals, and report findings to the Team Manager.
  • Promote well-being within the staff team by contributing to healthy and safe working practices, managing workload, and identifying stress signs in self and others.
  • Stay informed of new developments in policy, law, and research; provide expert knowledge to promote evidence-based practice and excellence.
  • Communicate effectively through writing, speaking, and information technology, maintaining a professional image for social work.
  • Enhance service user satisfaction by maintaining a positive image of the service, identifying improvement areas, and challenging poor practice.
  • Report issues to management and support the development of professional judgement and decision-making skills in others.
  • Support the Team Manager in work allocation, including authorising work/support plans.

Qualifications required: Social work degree / CQSW / CSS / DipSW and relevant professional registration.
