Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Senior Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional to be based in a local authority in South East London.

As an AMHP you will manage a caseload of complex mental health clients within the older adult service, providing health and social care interventions. This will include commissioning care packages, safeguarding investigations and monitoring mental state for relapse and recovery.

The role also requires the candidate to be on the Central AMHP team rota providing assessment and co-ordination under the Mental Health Act. The AMHP Team provides a single point of access to all requests for assessment under the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007). The team is comprised of Advanced Practitioners who are all qualified practicing AMHPs, an AMHP team manager, AMHP senior manager and team administrator.

You will need to have had experience practising as an AMHP in recent roles as well as hold a warrant , as you will be required to hit the ground running. The team is held in high regard by peers as they work in a busy service although still maintain a high standard of work and positive team ethos.
