Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced SME Area Director to lead the Black Country and Shropshire Trading Team across Birmingham, Wrexham, Wolverhampton, Telford or Hereford. You’ll drive a portfolio of trading and agricultural clients, build networks, and champion excellent client service.

The role requires senior leadership, strong risk and credit awareness, and a track record of growing income through strategic client management.

Qualifications

• Proven SME or commercial banking leadership with large client books.
• Experience leading Relationship Director/Manager teams.
• Track record in managing senior client relationships at MD/board level.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic leadership of the Black Country and Shropshire Sector.
• Inspire, mentor and appraise team members to meet goals.
• Develop local business plans and run client portfolios with compliance.
• Oversee client proposals and tailor solutions to client needs.
• Engage with complex clients and external partners to generate opportunities.
