Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Taunton in Taunton, England, is recruiting Specialist Speech and Language Therapists (Band 6/7 equivalent) to join a new 15-bed neuro-cognitive service for older adults with complex cognitive and neurological conditions.

You will assess speech, language and eating/swallowing needs, work within an interdisciplinary team, receive supervision and CPD, and contribute to service development with opportunities for research.

Qualifications

• Degree/postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy; HCPC registration; RCSLT membership.
• Competent to independently assess and manage EDS needs.
• Experience with older adults, neurology or neurodegenerative conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess SCLN and EDS needs for a specialist caseload.
• Deliver input via SLT pathway; work with multidisciplinary on-site team.
• Support CPD and supervision; contribute to service development and projects.
