Job summary

RSE Water seeks a Senior Site Manager to lead the on‑site delivery of UK water projects, reporting to the Project Manager. You will manage safety, programme and commercial performance while coordinating with trades, subcontractors and design teams on site.

Bring time-served civil trade qualification, SMSTS and First Aid at Work, plus strong leadership and cost‑control capabilities to drive improvements and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Time served and fully qualified in a relevant Civil trade - City & Guilds, MA or equivalent.
• SMSTS (Mandatory).
• First Aid at Work (Mandatory).
• Proven leadership, delegation and team management skills.
• Ability to work safely and promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
• Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads and deadlines.
• Confident in interfacing with site teams, subcontractors, designers and clients.
• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and NEC contract principles.
• Commercially astute, with an understanding of cost control, forecasting and change management.
• Ability to interpret, extract and communicate work information relevant to the programme.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day delivery of site activities and directing work to trades and subcontractors.
• Promote safe working environment with visible safety leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Plan, organise and monitor works to meet programmes, budgets and quality.
• Coordinate temporary works designs, approvals, inspections and permits.
• Maintain and update project programmes with six-week look-ahead.
• Monitor costs, variations and opportunities for improvement with the Commercial Team.
• Organise regular site meetings and track actions and follow-ups.
• Keep site documentation up to date and ready for inspection.
• Report progress, risks and resource needs to Project Manager.
