Job summary

Robert Hurst Group Ltd is seeking a hands-on Senior Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a major construction project within the HMP prison estate. The role spans new-build, refurbishment and extension works, requiring coordination of multiple subcontractors and trades to meet stringent safety, quality and programme standards.

You will lead site teams, manage site logistics, liaise with the Project Manager and client representatives, and ensure works are delivered on time and in compliance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager in construction.
• Strong background across new-build, refurbishment and extension projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, programme adherence and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trade contractors, suppliers and site personnel across all packages.
• Demonstrate full construction process knowledge, including groundworks, structural works, roofing, internal trades, building services and finishing works.
• Monitor progress against the programme and implement corrective actions for delays.
• Maintain RAMS, health and safety compliance and project documentation.
• Lead coordination meetings with the Project Manager, client representatives and subcontractors.
