Job summary

Vistry Group is seeking a Senior Site Manager for the Ford site near Arundel, West Sussex. You will manage day-to-day site operations, lead on-site teams, and ensure projects meet quality, budget and schedule targets.

You will drive health and safety, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and mentor site staff while maintaining strong client relationships. This role emphasizes leadership, planning, and collaborative delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid SMSTS certificate.
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
• Proven background in new build housing site management (Traditional Build).
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor and develop others.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and work with teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site operations ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Direct labour, equipment and resources to achieve project completion.
• Monitor progress, address delays or risks promptly.
• Attend weekly meetings with site sales executive and manage permits/inspections.

Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join our team within Vistry South East, at our Ford site, nr Arundel, West Sussex (BN18 0DF). As our Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will manage teams, coordinate resources, enforce health and safety regulations, and liaise with contractors, suppliers, partners and customers. The Senior Site manager role will be directly reporting to the wider scheme Project manager and Construction Manager.

• Develop and lead staff to maintain high morale and performance
• Support training and development of team members.
• Ensure 100% compliance with NHBC standards and building regulations.
• Conduct appraisals and address development needs with HR support.
• Ensure a harassment-free work environment
