Job summary

Vistry South East seeks an experienced Site Manager for the Ottershaw residential development. You will lead day-to-day site operations, manage teams and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and programme targets are met while controlling costs and resources.

You will enforce health and safety standards, drive quality, and coordinate with Technical, Commercial, Sales, and Customer Care teams to deliver homes on schedule. A proactive leader with regional eligibility is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing residential housing developments.
  • Strong knowledge of modern construction methods and housebuilding processes.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Based within our operating region.
  • Must have SMSTS, CSCS Manager Card, First Aid at Work, Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a residential construction site.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and support site teams and subcontractors to achieve programme targets.
  • Monitor build quality throughout all phases of construction and ensure compliance with NHBC and Building Regulation requirements.
  • Manage site resources, labour, and materials effectively to maximise productivity.
  • Maintain build programmes and proactively address delays or issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
  • Work closely with Technical, Commercial, Sales, Customer Care, and Production teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure plots are delivered on schedule to support business targets and customer completion dates.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team within Vistry South East, at our Ottershaw site (KT16 0LQ). As our Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Ottershaw residential development, ensuring that all construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and budget requirements. You will lead site teams and subcontractors, drive a culture of health and safety excellence, and be accountable for delivering homes that exceed customer expectations. Upon completion of the Ottershaw project, there is going to be plenty of opportunities within Vistry South East on our many new up and coming developments. We value in-person collaboration and team culture, but we’re also committed to supporting flexible working where possible.
