Job Title: Senior Miller Homes Site Representative
As the senior Miller Homes representative on site, your role is to ensure that all aspects of the development are delivered to meet specified financial, quality, construction, and safety targets and standards.
Key Functional Areas
- Ensure all labour on site, including direct and sub-contractors, carry out their activities in accordance with the build programme.
- Ensure all site activities, direct labour, and sub-contract packages are carried out in strict accordance with the ‘Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan’.
- Maintain adequate site security at all times, including traffic management, theft prevention, and control of public access.
- Implement and oversee an efficient and reliable site administration system.
- Resolve technical and detail queries, manage drawings/plan issues and updates, and address design and planning issues.
- Authorize, in liaison with the Commercial department, all additional payments and variations for sub-contractors.
- Coordinate with the Commercial department to ensure all orders for materials, services, and sub-contractors are placed and called off as required.
- Liaise with the Sales Department to ensure:
- Weekly build/sales meetings are attended by the Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager.
- Customer choices and extras are provided/installed according to company policy.
- 14-day plot inspections are conducted by the Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager.
- 7-day demonstrations are carried out with customers.
- Maintain the overall presentation and housekeeping of the site to the ‘Miller Standard’.
- Ensure adequate management cover is available on site at all times.
- Support and, where appropriate, chair project meetings.
- Maintain communication with Senior Directors alongside the Contracts Manager.
Key Capabilities Required
(1) Skills, Capabilities, and Attributes
- Proven technical ability in house building and construction.
- Confidence in chairing and leading meetings.
- Ability to manage large, complex bespoke builds.
- Ability to oversee a site team, which may include an Assistant Site Manager and/or Site Manager.
- Effective planning, organization, and monitoring of subcontractor activities daily.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.

- Drive and ambition to win internal and external awards, e.g., NHBC, SH&E awards, Considerate Contractor.
(3) Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
- Experience in house building, either through engineering, trades, or as a Site Manager.
- Proven track record in NHBC and/or other major awards.
- NVQ Level 4 or above in construction, or qualified by experience.
