Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Senior Engineer for a major main contractor delivering high-value construction and civils schemes in Oxfordshire. You will take operational leadership of the site engineering function, overseeing groundworks, piling, deep drainage, structural steel, and cladding packages.

You will lead setting out, dimensional control and manage a team of Site Engineers, maintaining quality, safety and programme milestones.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of essential experience in a Senior Engineer role on large-scale build or civils contracts.
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Active SMSTS certificate and full UK driving licence.
• Strong leadership, setting out and temporary works capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead site engineering, dimensional control, and setting out across major build packages.
• Supervise and mentor a team of Site Engineers, managing PDRs and training plans.
• Manage temporary works schemes, write and implement ITPs, and enforce QA.
• Chair subcontractor progress meetings, monitor project programmes, and maintain daily site records.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance on site and contribute to risk assessments and method statements.
