Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Senior Engineer in Oxfordshire to lead the site engineering function on high-value civil and building schemes. You will oversee setting out, temporary works, and quality across multiple packages, shaping delivery through proactive leadership and technical expertise.

You will manage a team of Site Engineers, drive performance through PDRs, and coordinate with subcontractors and the project programme to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of essential experience in a Senior Engineer role managing large-scale building or civils contracts.
• HND or equivalent qualification in civil engineering.
• Active SMSTS certificate and a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in groundworks, steel-framed structures and deep drainage.

Responsibilities

• Lead site engineering and setting out across major build packages.
• Supervise and mentor a team of Site Engineers with PDRs and training plans.
• Manage temporary works, write ITPs, and ensure quality assurance.
• Chair subcontractor progress meetings and monitor project programs.
