Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the site engineering function on major Oxfordshire builds. You will oversee groundworks, piling, deep drainage, steel and cladding packages, setting out, and dimensional control.

You will supervise a team of Site Engineers and drive performance development and training. The role requires 5+ years in a Senior Engineer position on large-scale projects, with SMSTS and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a Senior Engineer role on large-scale building/civils contracts.
• Experience in groundworks, steel-framed structures and deep drainage; concrete frame desirable.
• Active SMSTS certificate and full UK driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead site engineering and manage groundworks, piling, deep drainage, structural steel and cladding packages.
• Oversee setting out, dimensional control and overall site engineering leadership.
• Mentor and develop a team of Site Engineers and conduct PDRs/training.
• Manage temporary works schemes and ITPs with strict QA.
• Chair subcontractor progress meetings and monitor programmes and site records.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance across the project.
