Job summary

Aureos is seeking an experienced Site Agent in Sheffield to oversee civil engineering projects from inception to completion. You will manage on-site activities, lead direct labor and subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with plans, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include developing schedules, monitoring progress, managing risks, and maintaining safety, environmental compliance, and site records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years in a Site Agent or supervisory civil engineering role.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, drainage, utilities).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage on-site civil engineering activities in line with plans, specs and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors to ensure productive collaboration.
• Develop and implement project schedules and monitor milestones to prevent delays.
• Monitor progress, identify issues and implement corrective actions to meet timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies through site visits and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
• Procure materials and equipment ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate site records including diaries, progress and incident reports.
• Conduct quality control checks and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
