Job summary

Aureos seeks an experienced Site Agent to oversee civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and top quality while enforcing safety standards on site.

You will lead on-site teams, manage schedules, coordinate with clients and authorities, and drive continuous improvement across project operations. Based in the UK, travel to various project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Site Agent or in a similar supervisory role within civil engineering.
• Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities in line with project plans, specs and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate site teams, including direct labour and sub-contractors, to foster collaboration and productivity.
• Develop and implement project schedules ensuring milestones are met and delays are addressed.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies; conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and stakeholders; maintain clear communication.
• Manage budgets, control costs and prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
• Procure materials and equipment; ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate site records including diaries, progress reports and incident reports.
• Conduct quality control checks to meet required standards; identify improvement opportunities.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, processes, and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., CDM regulations).
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) are highly desirable.
