Job summary

Gattaca is seeking a Service Design Manager to define and implement service design and service transition for a major transport sector contract. The role leads all service design activities across the end-to-end service landscape, ensuring processes, governance, and artefacts meet business objectives and contractual requirements.

You will manage design artefacts, risk, and assurance processes while coordinating across multiple suppliers to enable safe, scalable, and compliant live service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in service design and service transition for large IT programs.
• Experience across end-to-end service lifecycle: design, testing, change, transition.
• Experience producing service design artefacts: option analyses, impact assessments, designs, documentation.
• Knowledge of multi-supplier environments and interface management.
• Strong ITIL and ISO 20000 principles knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Service Design and Service Transition Plan.
• Lead end-to-end service designs for changes across the service landscape.
• Ensure designs support safe, controlled changes with minimal disruption.
• Define acceptance criteria and traceability from requirements to delivery.
• Coordinate across suppliers and interfacing parties for integrated design.
• Oversee artefacts and governance including high/low level designs and docs.
• Drive operational readiness and successful embedding into live operations.
