Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. is recruiting an experienced SEND Teacher for a specialist school in Hillingdon, West London, starting September 2026.

You will join a dedicated team working with learners aged 11–19 with severe and complex learning disabilities, including autism, ADHD and medical needs. Expect medium to long-term placement with opportunities to lead differentiated lessons, contribute to enrichment activities and collaborate with teaching assistants and families to support pupils’

Qualifications

• UK QTS is required or equivalent.
• Experience planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons.
• Strong understanding of autism, ADHD and complex learning needs.
• Confidence supporting learners who may display challenging behaviour.
• Creative, sensory and communication-based approaches to engage learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and personalised lessons.
• Adapt teaching to meet a range of needs and sensitivities.
• Assess and track pupil progress and contribute to SEND documentation.
• Lead community visits, enrichment activities and trips where appropriate.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and families to support pupil development.
