Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. in Bromley is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teacher to work in a specialist school serving pupils with PMLD across KS1–KS4.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, in a full-time capacity with a supportive team and opportunities to develop personalised learning plans. The successful candidate will hold QTS or equivalent and have experience with PMLD or complex SEND needs, employing sensory-based approaches and AAC to support communication and daily living

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching pupils with PMLD, SLD, or complex SEND needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, behavior support and supporting pupils with complex medical and physical needs.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering personalized lessons for pupils with PMLD.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment supporting communication and independence.
• Collaborating with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
• Leading multidisciplinary approach to meeting pupils' educational and personal needs.
• Monitoring progress against EHCP outcomes and targets.
• Using AAC, sensory strategies and intensive interaction to support pupils.
