Job summary

Qualifications

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification required.
  • Experience teaching within SEND / specialist settings.
  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, enthusiastic and pupil-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must hold both Child & Adult DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated and engaging lessons.
  • Support pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Adapt lessons and resources to individual needs.
  • Manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Promote independence, communication and confidence.
