Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking an experienced SEND Leader to provide strategic and operational leadership for a team of Specialist Teachers. You will design, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive CPD programme for schools and professionals, ensuring high-quality training and continued professional development across settings.

• Substantial experience supporting children with SEND.
• Proven ability to develop inclusive practice across mainstream and specialist settings.
• Confident in designing and delivering high-quality training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of Specialist Teachers.
• Coordinate, deliver and evaluate the CPD programme for SEND across settings.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance of SEND Units and Additional Resourced Provisions.
• Ensure effective deployment and development of Specialist Teachers within the service.
• Collaborate with School/partners to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
