Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a proactive Team Manager – Experts at Hand to lead a multi-disciplinary SEND support team. You will coordinate outreach, assessment and intervention for children and young people with additional needs across early years, schools and post-16 settings.

You’ll link education settings with local partnerships and SEND services, ensuring timely, right-support delivery. The role emphasizes data-driven quality, continuous improvement and strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Experienced leader with strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusion and educational practice.
• Experience managing staff, supporting service improvement and working across education, health and care systems.
• Background in education, SEND, social care, psychology or related field valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a skilled multi-disciplinary team.
• Support schools and settings to strengthen inclusive practice and graduated response arrangements.
• Oversee and analyse effectiveness of outreach, intervention and support services.
• Develop strong partnerships with schools, families and professionals.
• Use data, QA activity and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve services.
