Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking a passionate Secondary School SENCO with senior leadership experience to lead SEND improvements across partner schools. The role focuses on strengthening the Graduated Approach, reviewing current practices, and providing bespoke support to SENCOs while coordinating with Salford services.

You will work across schools, ensuring robust SEND leadership, effective transitions for learners, and delivery of sustainable improvement while adhering to safeguarding

Qualifications

• Qualified Secondary School SENCO with leadership experience.
• Proven track record of improving outcomes for SEND learners.
• Strong communication and resilience under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead across multiple schools to enhance SEND strategy using the Graduated Approach.
• Review current practices and develop action plans with ongoing support.
• Act as a broker and evaluator for SEND in SEN Panels and signpost to Salford services.
