Job summary

Colne Primet Academy invites applications for a senior/middle leader with a strong track record in SEND leadership and school improvement. You will drive inclusion, manage a key area, and work within the Pendle Education Trust to raise standards across the academy.

You will lead teaching and learning strategies, support safeguarding, and line-manage a team, delivering impact for pupils with diverse needs and backgrounds in a fast-growing school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher with QTS (Essential)
• Higher degree (Desirable)
• National Award for SEN Co-ordination (Essential)
• Professional qualification in a relevant area (Desirable)
• Awareness of current educational trends and SEND legislation (Essential)
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice (Essential)
• Understanding of equality, inclusion and supporting pupils with complex needs (Essential)
• Up-to-date knowledge of specialised curriculum for SEMH (Desirable)
• Experience of assessment processes and statutory guidance (Essential)
• Quality-first teaching and effective intervention strategies (Essential)
• Experience leading a school area and improving standards (Essential)
• Line management and accountability with positive impact (Essential)
• Data analysis to raise student progress and standards (Essential)
