Job summary

The Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust is seeking a Primary SENDCo to work closely with the Headteacher to lead the implementation and development of SEND provision across William Leech Primary School and potentially other Trust sites. The role supports inclusive practice with regular coaching from the Trust.

You will be part of the senior leadership team and work with an experienced Primary School Improvement team to raise standards for all learners, families and staff, while

Qualifications

• SENDCo experience desirable; NASENCo qualification not essential.
• Professional development opportunities including statutory training and regular coaching from the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of SEND in implementing the Trust vision and raise standards for learners of all ages and abilities.
• Develop systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing SEND provision.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support learning and development of the children.
• Attend consultation evenings and keep parents informed about their child’s progress.
• Champion innovative SEND practices for the needs of individual learners with SEND.
