Job summary

Ancaster Church of England Primary School is seeking an inspirational and dedicated SENDCO who will lead SEND provision, work with staff, families and external agencies, and promote inclusion and high expectations for every pupil.

The post requires Qualified Teacher Status and a SEND qualification or working towards, plus strong data analysis and a track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Qualifications

• QualifiedTeacher Status and a relevant degree.
• SEND qualification or working towards.
• Proven track record of securing outcomes for students with SEND.
• Experience analysing data to inform strategy and improve SEND outcomes.
• Experience developing teachers and support staff in inclusive practice.
• Knowledge of effective behaviour management and SEMH support.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development of SEN policy and provision in the school.
• Responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and coordination of provision for pupils with SEN or a disability.
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working with staff, parents, and other agencies.
