Job summary

Acre Rigg Infant School in Peterlee invites applications for an experienced SENCO with senior leadership background. The post runs four days a week (three days non-contact, one day teaching) and requires commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupils with SEN or disabilities.

The Governors seek a committed, enthusiastic leader who can develop SEN policy, operate day-to-day SEN provision, and provide guidance to staff, parents and external partners.

• Commitment to SEN with senior management experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development of SEN policy and provision.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of provision for pupils with SEN or disability.
• Provide guidance to colleagues, working with staff, parents and external agencies.
