Job summary

Gorringe Park Primary School is seeking a dedicated Assistant SENCo to join our inclusive team and lead SEND provision across the school. This role is part-time (2 days per week) and permanent, with an ASAP start after recruitment checks.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher for Inclusion to ensure high-quality provision and outcomes for pupils with additional needs. A collaborative, supportive environment is provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND provision in collaboration with Deputy Headteacher for Inclusion.
• Identify, assess, and monitor pupils with SEND.
• Collaborate with class teachers, support staff, external agencies and families.
• Ensure statutory SEN processes and documentation are completed to a high standard.
• Promote inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils.
• Occasionally provide classroom teaching cover, as required.

Gorringe Park PrimarySchool is seeking a dedicated and committed Assistant SENCo to join our strong, established inclusion team.This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who is eager todevelop or use their existing SEN leadership experience within a supportive andcollaborative environment.

About the Role

This is a 2 day per week Assistant SENCo position,with responsibility for supporting the strategic and operational delivery ofSEND provision across the school. The successful candidate will work closelywith our Deputy Headteacher forInclusion, ensuring high-quality provision and outcomes for pupils withadditional needs.

Importantly, this role isnot an isolated post. You will be joining a well-established inclusion team, benefiting from clear leadership,shared responsibility, and strong professional support.

The role is primarilynon-class based and focused on SEND leadership and provision.

Key Responsibilities
