Job summary

Prospere Learning Trust is hiring for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant/Teaching Assistant Level 4 (SEN) at Pioneer House High School. The role is 35 hours per week, term-time plus four weeks, with a starting salary of £31,713 (Grade 6) and a full-time equivalent of £34,237.

The successful candidate will support pupils with SEMH and complex learning needs, plan and lead learning activities, and contribute to safeguarding and attendance support under teacher guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Planning and leading teaching and learning activities.
• Numeracy and Literacy at level 2 (GCSEs 9-4/A*-C) or equivalent or higher.
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for whole classes during teacher absences.
• Assess students' needs and support learning with specialist skills.
• Develop and implement individual education/behaviour/support plans.
• Record progress and provide feedback to teachers with evidence.
• Deliver learning activities and adjust plans to pupil needs in an inclusive setting.
