Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking a senior SEN caseworker to support a small team of SEN caseworkers, overseeing the assessment, drafting and amendments of EHCPs for children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND.

You will ensure EHCPs meet statutory duties under the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Equality Act 2010, while coordinating year groups, annual reviews and complex caseloads.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people with SEND and their families.
• Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of EHCP assessments, drafting and amendments.
• Manage a small caseload and support staff through supervision and training.
• Coordinate annual reviews, year groups and transitions as required.
