Job summary

Hampshire County Council's SEND Service seeks experienced SEN Caseworkers for a fully remote 3-month rolling contract. You will manage a substantial statutory caseload across 0–25, coordinating Education, Health and Care assessments and annual reviews in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.

The role requires handling tribunal work, preparing EHCP documentation, and collaborating with schools, health professionals and social care to deliver legally compliant

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in SEN Caseworker/EHCP Caseworker in Local Authority SEND Team.
• Caseloads exceeding 250 cases.
• Experience coordinating 20-week EHC Needs Assessments.
• Experience completing Annual Reviews.
• Experience preparing SEND Tribunal packs.
• Knowledge of Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
• Ability to articulate caseloads and processes in interviews.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statutory EHC assessments for 0-25.
• Manage high-volume SEND caseload with statutory deadlines.
• Be primary contact for parents, schools and professionals.
• Draft and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans.
• Coordinate input from education, health and social care experts.
• Prepare documentation for SEND Tribunals.
• Maintain accurate case records and update Hampshire systems.
• Escalate high-risk or complex cases as needed.
• Collaborate with SEN managers to ensure compliance and quality.
