Job summary

Palo Alto Networks seeks an experienced Senior Security Researcher to join Idira Labs, a product-focused team driving security improvements across cloud, web, mobile, and AI-enabled systems.

You will own research initiatives from threat modeling through exploitation, reporting, and remediation validation, partnering with architects and engineers to translate findings into resilient product design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security research, penetration testing, or product security.
• Experience evaluating cloud, web, and mobile applications for security.
• Strong secure code-review skills and ability to assess exploitability and business impact.
• Experience with offensive security tools and automated vulnerability discovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive penetration testing and vulnerability research across Idira products and architectures.
• Demonstrate complex vulnerabilities through manual research, code review, and automation.
• Evaluate security of AI architectures, LLM-powered apps, agent frameworks, and pipelines.
• Own security research projects end to end from scope to remediation validation.
• Build scripts/tools to improve research coverage, repeatability, and scale.
• Collaborate with Engineering to translate findings into secure designs and mitigations.
• Assess emerging offensive security techniques and AI-assisted research tools.
• Share insights with the security team and broader community.
