Job summary

Ward Security seeks an experienced Security Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational direction across a highly secure facility in Winsford. You will lead a professional security team, ensuring safety, compliance and service delivery at all times, with ability to obtain police vetting clearance.

The role demands decision-making under pressure, strong stakeholder management with police and clients, and hands-on management of on-site security operations.

Qualifications

• Current SIA licence.
• Experience in security industry, public sector, police environment and/or armed forces.
• Experience managing security personnel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of security legislation.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to obtain police vetting clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site security team and ensure client requirements are met.
• Provide regular foot patrols as a deterrent to protect property and assets.
• Control access and verify authority to gain entry.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and document findings.
• Submit health and safety and crime reports to authorities as required.
• Carry out routine searches of vehicles, buildings and persons.
• Deal with incidents and report to relevant authorities.
• Maintain visitor, incident and key movement logs.
• Serve as the main point of contact for staff and visitors.
