Job summary

Additional Resources Ltd is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to support customers and engineering teams across electronic security systems in a field-based capacity. The role covers planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and technical support with travel allowances and on-call duties.

Based in London or within reach of the city, you will work on intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and intercoms, using manufacturer software for configuration and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Security Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Strong experience in electronic security systems industry.
• Good technical knowledge of security systems and technologies.
• Logical, methodical fault finding and problem solving.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on electronic security systems.
• Investigate faults and provide technical support to customers and engineers.
• Work across intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and intercom systems.
• Use manufacturer software for configuration, diagnostics and optimisation.
• Support engineers with technical issues and provide guidance.
• Complete work and documentation accurately while maintaining customer service.
• Perform other duties relevant to the role.

Security Systems Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Systems Engineer to join an established fire andsecurity services provider, supporting customers and engineering teams across a range ofelectronic security systems. The role involves planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs andtechnical support across security systems.

This is a field-based role offering a basic salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus paidtravel, on-call and overtime allowances, with total average earnings of £43,000 - £60,000, plusbenefits.

Candidates can be based anywhere in London or within 15 miles north and 20 miles south of StAlbans (office location).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on electronic security systems.
• Investigating faults and providing technical support to customers and engineers.
• Working across intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and intercom systems.
• Using manufacturer software for system configuration, diagnostics and optimisation.
• Supporting engineers with technical issues and providing guidance where required.
• Completing work and documentation accurately while maintaining good customer service.
• Performing other duties relevant to the role as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Security Systems Engineer or in a similar security engineering role.
• Strong experience within the electronic security industry.
• Good technical knowledge of security systems and associated technologies.
• A logical and methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A high level of accuracy when completing work and documentation.
