The Ellison Institute, LLC's Generative Biology Institute in Oxford seeks a Scientist/Senior Scientist to advance single-cell mass spectrometry workflows, focusing on proteomics and/or metabolomics. You will collaborate with GBI researchers and other Tech Hubs to develop robust LC-MS methods and scalable analytical pipelines.

You will design experiments, troubleshoot workflows, contribute to SOPs, and help translate MS innovations into high-impact capabilities for the Institute.

Formación

• PhD or equivalent in analytical chemistry, MS, proteomics or related field.
• Experience with LC-MS sample prep, method development and QC.
• Knowledge of low-input/single-cell workflows and high-sensitivity MS.
• Experience with MS data analysis software and interpretation of complex datasets.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimise LC-MS workflows for single-cell proteomics and/or metabolomics.
• Support design, execution, analysis and interpretation of MS experiments.
• Develop SOPs and user guidance for single-cell MS workflows.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics, AI/ML and automation teams.
• Assist in manuscript preparation and external presentations.
• Represent the Institute at meetings and conferences.
