Job summary

The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) invites applications for a Scientist/Senior Scientist in the Mass Spectrometry Hub, focusing on single‑cell proteomics and/or metabolomics. You will design, develop and optimize LC‑MS workflows, collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams, and push technical boundaries to deliver robust analytical methods.

Responsibilities include method development, data interpretation, SOPs, and training materials for researchers across the GBI/EIT.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in analytical chemistry, MS, proteomics, metabolomics or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in MS-based proteomics/metabolomics and LC‑MS sample prep.
• Strong knowledge of low-input/single-cell workflows and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and optimize LC‑MS workflows for low‑input and single‑cell proteomics/metabolomics.
• Support researchers with experimental design, data acquisition and interpretation.
• Develop SOPs, training materials and user guidance for MS workflows.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics, AI/ML, automation and sequencing teams to deliver robust workflows.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation and internal/external presentations.
• Represent the Institute at scientific meetings and events.
