Job summary

Evotec is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist (Expression) to join the Protein Sciences Team at Alderley Park. The role focuses on designing and executing work plans for early drug discovery, delivering high-quality recombinant proteins, and collaborating across projects to optimize expression outcomes.

Based in Alderley Park, you will contribute to study designs, data interpretation, and client presentations while advancing Evotec’s scientific reputation through publications and conference

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of recombinant protein expression and biochemistry.
• Hands-on experience with insect cell expression systems (BEVS, Drosophila S2).
• Ability to design and optimize expression constructs for insect cell production.
• Experience troubleshooting expression challenges with data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute work plans for early drug discovery projects.
• Provide oversight of results to ensure quality to project specs.
• Propose experimental designs and novel approaches to improve expression outcomes.
• Lead reports and co-develop plans for personal growth with team members.
• Represent Evotec at scientific conferences and in client interactions.
