Job summary

Marchant Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity in Manchester for an experienced School Business Manager to oversee the school's finance, administration, HR and operations. You will play a pivotal role in financial planning, budget management and ensuring compliance across the academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in school finance, compliance and day-to-day operations.
• Experience with school finance systems and MIS platforms would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school's budget, financial monitoring and reporting.
• Support the Headteacher and Governors with financial planning.
• Oversee HR administration, payroll and staff records.
• Manage contracts, purchasing and supplier relationships.
• Take responsibility for premises, estates and health & safety.
• Ensure school policies, records and compliance requirements are maintained.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and safer working practices.
• Prepare reports and information for Governors and senior leaders.
• Manage administrative systems and support the wider office team.
