Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a high-performing secondary school in Ealing, London, to recruit a Senior School Business Manager who will lead the school's financial, HR, and facilities functions.

Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, the post oversees budgeting, procurement, MIS systems, health and safety, and works with Governors to drive operational excellence across the school’s estate and services.

Qualifications

• Experience as a School Business Manager, Finance Manager or senior school operations professional.
• Strong financial knowledge and leadership across multiple operational areas.
• Experience with school finance systems, MIS and London school procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and budget management.
• Prepare management accounts and forecasts.
• Manage procurement and contracts.
• Oversee HR, payroll and recruitment processes.
• Lead premises and facilities management.
• Manage health & safety and compliance.
• Support risk management and insurance.
• Work with Governors and finance committees.
• Manage administrative and support teams.
• Lead operational improvement projects.
