Job summary

Horwich Parish Church of England Primary School in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced, highly organised and motivated School Business Manager to lead the school's business and operational functions. You will support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure efficient and effective operation within a strong financial and strategic framework.

Experience in financial, business or operational management, preferably within a school or education setting.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the school’s financial management, budgeting and financial planning.
Oversee procurement, contracts, purchasing and supplier relationships.
Manage premises, facilities, maintenance and health & safety arrangements.
Support HR, payroll and staff administration.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Work closely with the Headteacher and Governors on strategic planning and resource management.
Lead and develop administrative and support staff.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money.
Contribute to the continued development and success of the school.
