Job summary

ScottishPower in the United Kingdom seeks an Applications Consultant to contribute to the Digitalisation Strategy and lead a small team of Application Analysts within the Work and Asset Management value stream. You will make application design decisions that satisfy local and global requirements and ensure the team aligns with the Transformation Architecture & Strategy group.

You will capture and review business requirements, assess ERP-based solutions with external partners, justify chosen

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ related work experience.
• 5 years of progressive experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products, systems and/or platforms.
• 5 years’ working in Application solutions design delivering IT solutions.
• 5 years of experience in ERP applications, database, distributed computing, virtualization and/or application technology.
• Experience in delivering industrial platforms or horizontal software middleware.
• Knowledge of technologies and common Packaged Platform/Systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• SAP PM expertise is essential, with demonstrable working knowledge of MM,CO,FI,AM & PPM
• SAP accreditations ie PLM200/300 would be preferrable, but not essential

Responsibilities

• Capture and review business requirements and suggest technical solutions for ERP based solutions.
• Assess solutions proposed by external partners to determine views on suitability or any potential issues.
• Identify & evaluate solution options to provide justification for chosen solution.
• Work with external partner to identify costs for solutions with review of comparative options / costs.
• Works with external partner to determine delivery time for solutions.
