Job description

Purpose of role is to support the Sales Support Team Manager, by assisting with day-to-day management of Sales Support activities, training and development of staff, sourcing of CVs and organizing interviews for new members of Sales Support, assistance with monthly 1:1s, ensuring that the team is performing within KPIs and proactively highlighting any concerns/trends to sales management, and assisting with team reporting for Sales Support and the wider Sales department. Alongside this, you will also be responsible for core Sales Support activities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of Sales Support activities, ensuring they are completed within set KPIs, in a timely and organized manner. You will need to proactively support the team and the Sales Support manager, ensuring daily tasks are evenly allocated and completed efficiently, with a focus on customer/TPI satisfaction. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will also assist in training, mentoring, and recruiting junior sales support staff, promoting knowledge sharing and process improvements. Additionally, you will generate sales reports, track performance metrics, and analyze sales data to provide insights to the team manager.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Managing the Tender Response Administration process for TPI and Direct sales channels.
  • Ensuring all tenders are accurately logged according to KPIs, and key requests are communicated effectively.
  • Identifying and querying anomalies in tender data with TPIs, and assisting Account Managers in obtaining higher quality data.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate tracking systems.
  • Liaising with Commercial and Operations departments on tender and contract queries, creating and sending out contract offers, and supporting Account Managers in obtaining price feedback where necessary.
  • Handling incoming calls via the Sales Line, managing queries or complaints professionally.

Education and Training:

  • Preferably a degree or equivalent qualification, but not essential.
  • Experience in the I&C energy industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience in sales support or administrative roles, especially in B2B environments.
  • Basic knowledge of sales and marketing principles.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
