Senior Sales Executive

Location: Scotland (Travel Required)

Bright Purple is looking to recruit a highly motivated Sales Executive, ideally with a strong commercial background in selling digital technology solutions, particularly within SEO, PPC, and web services. This is an exciting opportunity to represent one of Scotland’s most respected and innovative digital agencies, delivering bespoke solutions to clients ranging from SMEs to enterprise-level businesses across various industries.

About the Role:

Due to sustained growth and continued success, our client is expanding their Sales function with the addition of a results-driven Sales Executive. You’ll work closely with their Senior Director and the Marketing team to identify new opportunities, nurture inbound leads, and most importantly—hunt and close new business. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, focusing on building relationships from the ground up and closing high-value deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively identify, target, and engage new business opportunities through cold outreach, networking, and strategic prospecting.
  2. Qualify and convert leads into long-term clients, managing the full sales cycle from discovery to close.
  3. Use your knowledge of SEO, PPC, and digital marketing services to clearly articulate value propositions tailored to client needs.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams (technical, creative, and marketing) to develop customised proposals and winning pitches.
  5. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging digital marketing technologies.
  6. Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline forecasting, and activity reporting using CRM systems.
  7. Attend client meetings and industry events across Scotland as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in business development or digital sales, preferably within the SEO/PPC or broader digital marketing sector.
  2. A 'hunter' mindset—proactive, target-driven, and tenacious when it comes to winning new business.
  3. Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, including search engine optimisation, pay-per-click advertising, website UX, and analytics.
  4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  5. Willingness to travel across Scotland for client meetings and industry events.

The salary on offer is up to £50,000, dependent on experience, with additional commission. The role can be carried out remotely within Scotland, provided you are able to travel to Glasgow when required.
