Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer - Public Sector (UK) in London. You will provide technical expertise via sales presentations, product demonstrations, and POVs, helping qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners.

The role combines technical rigor with strategic storytelling to demonstrate Datadog's value across adoption timelines. You'll partner with the Sales team to convey the overall value proposition and own the technical engagements during trials, delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
• Ability to travel up to 45% of the time.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to articulate business value and technical advantages.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog's value proposition to customers.
• Own technical engagement with customers during trials and POVs.
• Close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical briefings to potential clients.
• Maintain accurate CRM notes on customer input, wins and losses.
• Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams about product feedback and the competitive landscape.
