£60,000 - £70,000 + Commission (OTE £100,000) | Permanent, Remote | Exeter
Cathedral Appointments is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing software business that provides field service management technology to organisations that repair and maintain homes and critical infrastructure, including social landlords, local authorities, utilities and their contractors. This is a senior, quota-carrying individual contributor role, with a wide remit spanning direct sales, public sector procurement and framework routes, and a growing partner channel.
Our client's buyers operate under real regulatory and financial pressure, and are sceptical of vendors who do not understand their world. This role is about building credibility and a deliberate, well-qualified pipeline, not chasing activity volume: sales cycles typically run six to eighteen months and are often gated by formal procurement.
Reporting to the Director of Customer Success, you will own new business revenue generation from first contact through to signed contract, lead responses to formal public sector procurement, and grow a partner and supply-chain channel where existing customers extend the platform to their own contractors. You will have direct access to senior leadership on strategic opportunities and will be expected to help shape how the business sells, not simply execute an existing process.
Responsibilities for the Senior Business Development Manager:
If you have deep sector knowledge but a less conventional sales background, or a strong commercial record without sector experience, our client would still like to hear from you.
We regret to inform you that at this time, we are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorisation for this role. Therefore, candidates must possess valid authorisation to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
